• Do I need different bike lights for my mountain bike versus my road bike? 

It’s not necessary to have separate bike lights for mountain biking and road biking. A standard commuter bike light will suffice in any situation.

• Are all bike lights rechargeable? 

No. Though less common, some bike lights use single-use batteries. While rechargeable bike lights don’t have as long of a battery life, they’re less wasteful and expensive because you can use a USB cable to charge them.

• Is a rear light necessary?
